Recap
Chapter 1 - April 10-June 2 - Luz Del Corazon - nearest town- Aguas Claras (North Northwestern Costa Rica) - Nothing but love for this place.  Truly amazing in every way.  Highlights- In the MIDDLE of the jungle; soo much wildlife every single day.  The dogs stole our hearts as well as the people.  This is also where we met Hannah and Adam, two amazing people from Washington who we have met up with several times since and will continue to do so in the future!  Too many good things about this place to list.  Downsides- None! except that we are harder to impress now with wildlife sightings.
Chapter 2 - June 2-June5 - Nicaragua - San Juan Del Sur/ Playa Maderas - We crossed the border with Hannah and Adam to renew our visas (you are only allowed to stay 90 in Costa Rica at a time) so we went to the closest backpackers town to the border.  Not a true representation of Nicaragua but fun nonetheless.  Stayed at Casa Oro, hit the beach up everyday and took a little trip to Playa Maderas (north of San Juan) for a night.  Great little break from farm life and I even got to do a load of laundry!! Still the only real washer and dryer I have used so far.
Chapter 3 - June 6-June 10 - Copal, Nicoya Peninsula - This was a pig farm in the rancher region of Costa Rica called Guanacaste.  We were originally supposed to stay a month but the place was completely different as advertised.  Without too many details, we decided to leave after the first week of work with very minimal food and not being able to actually do anything with the pigs.
Chapter 4 - June 10-July 14 - Blue Butterfly Hotel - Puerto Viejo de Talamanaca - We set this work/stay up when we made our last minute decision to leave the "pig" farm.  Puerto Viejo is the closest town to Panama on the Caribbean coast.  Yes, we bussed all the way from Nicoya Peninsula to the lowest, bottom corner of the country in one day.  Long day of busses, but it gives perspective to how small the country is.  By far the most interesting working experience so far.  This hotel (actually a hostel, probably shouldn't be called hotel) was located five minutes from the beach, so you can guess what we did every day.  Getting to the Caribbean side really feels like entering a new country.  The food, the people, the day to day is all a little different and we loved it all.  Also, meeting other travelers every day at the hostel was an incredible experience.  We got to meet guests from all over the world and hear all their stories and advice.  The volunteers we worked with was probably the best part of the whole month.  We already have plans to meet up with one volunteer, Charlie from England, at the next hostel we are working at because he got a job there too!  And we haven't made plans yet but I know we will see Victor and Adriana and Panchito again, three incredible people we got the pleasure of working with AND all from Mexico so we will have some great tour guides as soon as we make it to Mexico.  The people, guests and volunteers and neighbors, were definitely the highlight of this chapter.  It was also nice to be in civilization again; being able to walk to the grocery store whenever you need and have options of things to do on days off.  And sloths!! That's right; furry little sloths hanging right outside the hostel's balcony (something we couldn't see in northern Costa Rica).
Chapter 5 - June 14- June 18 - Bejuco (near Jaco) - A short one but one we have been very excited for!!  And back with Hannah and Adam, Hallelujah!  The two of them and a group of their friends rented an AirBnb in the beachy town of Bejuco for five days and were so nice to invite us along with them!  We stayed in a hostel last night in Jaco and will stay with them until our next job (in Samara) starts on the 18th.
